Grupo Julia arrives to Rome under the brand ‘Gray Line’ and ‘I Love Rome City Tour’ through a participated society with the Italian company Carrani Tours.

‘I Love Rome City Tour’ offers hop-on hop-off routes with a total of 19 stops which run the main attractions and points of interest of the city, such as the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, the Borghese Gallery, the St. Peter’s Basilica, the Auditorium Parco della Musica or the Vatican Gardens. The service offers the possibility of changing of route in different stops, offering more flexibility to the tourists when they organise their trip.

Furthermore, and strengthening the bet of the company on innovation and on new technologies aboard the bus, all 7 ‘I Love Rome City Tour’ buses are cutting-edge vehicles and put at passengers’ disposal free Wi-Fi service and georeferenced audio guide in 13 languages –Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Hindi, Arabic and Dutch-. The tourist bus also have local guides aboard to assist the tourists along the itinerary.

Tickets commercialisation takes place on the bus, at the stops, at hotels through tour operators and on the webpage www.city-tour.com. The price of the 24-hour ticket is €13 for juniors (6-12 years) and €22 for adults. In order to have even a better stay in the Eternal City, ‘I Love Rome City Tour’ offers packages with some tours ‘I Love Rome’ and the possibility of enjoying the Gourmet Tour, a local gastronomic experience.

Operational management in figures

With an initial investment of approximately 3 million of euros, Grupo Julia expects the number of passengers to increase to 320.000 in the first year operating in a potential market with a total number of 1.5 million of users.

The incorporation of the company in the tourist bus management means the improvement of the service with the hop-on hop-off modality, which will be operated by 7 buses, 40 employees, two routes and a better bus frequency. Grupo Julia will contribute with 3 new vehicles and 16 employees.
