Julia Group is looking for a Transportation Manager (he or she) to lead Operations, Traffic and Engineering departments at London City Tour (LCT)
The main mission of the position is to ensure LCT is fully compliant with legal regulations and ensure fully compliance with VOSA / DVSA requirements while keeps up to date to the potencial changes on transport industry legislation.
The Transportation Manager is accountable for fostering the best possible culture, ethics and environment among the areas upon his or her responsibility.
Planning, managing and leading the coordination of daily traffic and engineering departments functions and staff.
Performing supervisory responsibilities which includes establishing goals for subordinate employees with defined process for analysing results.
Ensuring the fleet is maintained to current and future compliant standards and there are sufficient vehicles for daily Service.
Carrying out periodic driver licence and Certificate of Professional Competency checks.
Carrying our daily checks of defect cards and ensure defects are repaired and recorded in accordance with the engineering requirements.
To spend the required number of hours (45 hrs per week) devised by VOSA to comply with the LCT Operators licence.
Developing Traffic and Engineering budget; monitoring and controlling expenditures.
Validating weekly rota for drivers & oversee and implement the drivers duty sheets to guarantee frequency and level of service required from management.
Assisting in accident/incident investigation, including any need on-site assistance and support to safety and training personnel.
Dealing with different suppliers involved in the operation ensuring best possible agreements in terms of cost and service.
To perform successfully in this job you will need:
Be a CPC license holder
Have an extensive experience & understanding of transport issues in London, related to traffic management and TFL requirements
Knowledgement of employment conditions, and health and safety legislations relevant to VOSA / DVSA requirements
Be a good communicator and being able to influence across all levels in the organization
Being able to make accurate diagnosis and efficient repairing procedures
